Winter photography is a challenge especially when you are the first to break the trail after a heavy snowfall. In this B&W panoramic image taken with a 24mm lens, the ice was forming in the Indian River and the trees were laden with 20 cm of new snow on a recent early morning.
IMG_3298 This image was taken a few days before the recent snowstorm about 45 minutes after sunrise on a very cold morning. In the foreground, wanted to captured the edge of the ice against the flow of this stream in nearby Blakeney. This was a 5 minute exposure using a neutral density filter which blurred and softened the flow of the water.
